North treasures
Cala Mitjana, Cala Torta and Cala Mesquida these 3 secluded sandy beaches are quite remote so be prepared for a bumpy ride through a small mountain range. They are some of the most natural beaches on the island and if you head for Cala Torta, there’s a small beach bar open in peak season.
Backed by dunes and mountains, they have an unspoilt feel and are less populated because of their location.
Cala Agulla natural and wild feeling in this blue flag beach surrounded by pine trees. Take a dip in the beautiful turquoise water.
Playa de Muro a kilometre-long fine, white sand beach with a choice of watersports activities. Plenty of umbrellas and sun loungers are available and lively beach bars, some with live music, are part of the attraction of this beach.
Formentor has been voted as one of the best beaches in the world. Paradisiac landscape and turquoise blue water like the Caribbean, this beach is a true hideaway. Bar-Restaurant and exclusive sunbeds to be booked ahead. For breath-taking scenery head towards Cap de Formentor. Once the winding roads have been navigated there are several viewpoints from which to admire the dramatic coastline. The final stretch of the coastal road offers more impressive views at the lighthouse.
Cala San Vicenç a small secluded resort sitting in a north corner of the island. It is a relaxed place with two sheltered sandy bays and a rocky cove set against a rugged cliff backdrop. Surrounding the bay is a mix of hotels, restaurants and shops offering everything for a chilled out beach break.
